Hello, I’m Hayden and I live for Lacrosse.
I live in Missoula, Montana and unlike the east coast, lacrosse was slow to be become a main stream sport
here until the University of Montana Grizzlies won the AA National Championship in 2006. After that people started to pay attention to the game. We were fortunate that several of the players off that National Championship team stayed in Missoula to share their love for the sport with the community. At first the high schools did not have their own teams so The Missoula Elite was formed and that gave the opportunity for any kids in town that wanted to play to have a team to be on. After a couple years interest grew to the level that there were enough players for each of the high schools to have their own teams. As of this year the sport has matured enough that the Missoula teams have become much more competitive. It’s not just Missoula either, Montana now has teams all over the state and lacrosse is here to stay. Because of the dedication and the quality of the coaching the playing field has been leveled when it comes to some of the programs that have been around longer, especially the teams over on the coast as well as some of the Canadian teams from up in western British Columbia.
“The Lacrosse Coach” is an extension of the passion that I feel for the sport and I hope that you will find the information interesting as well as useful in helping you “up your game”.
